Spring has reluctantly sprung and it’s nearly time for Bravely’s release date!*
Kirkus said it was “A different kind of fairytale, for older and wiser readers.” And the Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books said, “The ensuing adventures, liberally embroidered with atmospheric settings & Scottish lore, offer insight into characters old & new, especially (& touchingly) queen Elinor.”
You can read the beginning here, if you want to decide if it’s right for you.
*unless you are in Australia. Then, not only is it not Spring, but also, Bravely has already hit bookstore shelves.
I’m also delighted to report that Fiona Hardingham, the voice of Puck in The Scorpio Races’ audiobook, has returned to narrate the audiobook, which is also out May 3rd.

For the first time since COVID, I’ll be doing a limited tour to celebrate the book’s release, and, because of festival scheduling, I’ll be doing a few of the events before the official release date of May 3rd (don’t worry, there will be books available for sale at each of the venues).
You can find me here:
4/23: LA Festival of Books, Los Angeles, CA
4/30: YallFest, Santa Monica, CA
5/1: Denver, Tattered Cover (Colfax location), 6 pm.
5/2: Salt Lake City, King’s English, 6 pm.
5/4: San Diego, Mysterious Galaxy, 7 pm.
5/6: Virtual event w/ An Unlikely Story, 7 pm.
5/7: Arlington, VA, One More Page, 2 pm (offsite event! Held at Arlington Central Library).
5/10: Harrisonburg, VA, Books-A-Million, 4 pm.
As always, I’m happy to sign books brought from home, too, but the number I’ll be able to sign/ personalize will be dictated by how many folks are in attendance. I’ve no idea how many folks to expect, so let’s both be . . . uh . . . be nimble, I guess? Also worth noting that three of these events are outdoors events (King’s English will be held on the patio, although masks will be required inside), and any COVID-related questions about the venue should be directed at the individual stores.
If you can’t make it to a tour event, you can always order a signed and personalized copy from One More Page right up until the official release date, 5/3.
See you there!
