Portraits & Dreams: Writing with Maggie Stiefvater in Edinburgh

A writing seminar for all experience levels! Join Maggie Stiefvater as she covers developing ideas into novels you’ll truly love (and finish), crafting memorable characters, writing supernatural elements in unique and meaningful ways, and structuring your writing work day. Three and a half hours of lecture and one and a half hours of informal Q&A.

BRING: something to take notes! Laptops are fine.

INCLUDED: Handouts of major talking points. An invite to an online writers’ workspace to keep in touch with your fellow attendees.

SIGNING: We don’t have the venue long enough for signing but we’re working on a public event in Edinburgh that evening to follow (so you’ll have a chance to grab a bite to eat and then hit a bookstore for the signing in the evening!) Info to come.

NOTE: Coffee & tea are not permitted in the lecture theatre, but breaks will be interspersed for stretching legs and beverages in the lobby.

Hi, I'm Maggie Stiefvater

Professional novelist by day and artist by night. I live an eccentric life in the middle of nowhere, Virginia with my charmingly straight-laced husband, two kids, and neurotic dogs. I’m the author of the Books of Faerie (LAMENT and BALLAD); the bestselling SHIVER trilogy (SHIVER, LINGER, FOREVER), and THE SCORPIO RACES.
