I ran in (dressed as Sherlock, but THAT is a VERY long story), because we were late. There were three of us. Which meant that altogether in the cinema, there were seven. Yes. Four other people had come. We'd booked tickets and everything, and there were FOUR other people in the screen. Your thoughts are all spot on. I am still reeling from the overall feel of the book. Just absolutely stunningly amazing. Just not enough words to describe all the depth of feeling and emotion. I, too, laughed at some points, gasped at others and actually teared up (though I rarely cry while reading books) Sigh. Now I have to somehow write a review. And tell all my friends to get Elizabeth Wein's book ASAP! I read this review back in March when you posted it and in early May given a chance to read an ARC of Code Name Verity.
