I know this is, like, a month late... >_>
Age Range: YA
Genre: Fantasy; Adventure
Synopsis: Liko is a thief- Kochie a hunter. Their races make them enemies since birth. But when certain circumstances come into play they find themselves bound together with no way out, on a quest they’re not entirely sure the purpose of- to save the balance they’re not sure they even want to keep.
Agent: None~
Last book: Alanna: The first adventure series. The iron fey series. I read way too much... It's so hard to pick just a couple recent...

I know I'm late but I hope there's someone out there for me. ♫

I had a very different audience experience when I went to see the Hunger Games. I ran in (dressed as Sherlock, but THAT is a VERY long story), because we were late. There were three of us.
Which meant that altogether in the cinema, there were seven.
Yes. Four other people had come. We'd booked tickets and everything, and there were FOUR other people in the screen.
So that was very sad :(

I read this review back in March when you posted it and in early May given a chance to read an ARC of Code Name Verity.
Your thoughts are all spot on. I am still reeling from the overall feel of the book. Just absolutely stunningly amazing. Just not enough words to describe all the depth of feeling and emotion. I, too, laughed at some points, gasped at others and actually teared up (though I rarely cry while reading books)
Sigh. Now I have to somehow write a review. And tell all my friends to get Elizabeth Wein's book ASAP!

Barry wondered why I suddenly became hysterical while in the bathtub (being a virtuous literary agent, I save my purely pleasure reading for weekends in the tub ... aka Maggies's blog posts). In this case, I nearly lost my iPad in the tub, I was laughing so hard ... And frantically calling out for someone to come see THIS!! The Trampoline Of Doom!!! Thank you, as always, for being such a bright spot in any day!

I hadn't been to Santa Barbara before, but I really recommend it. There was a gorgeous downtown, but also lots of hiking and places to get away, all within 20 minutes of driving. Brilliant!
