Tour Schedule, One Last Time

I have finally completed my packing for tour. I think. It’s hard to prepare for 29 days of surprises, so I always pack for 29 days of everything going perfectly as planned and assume that the sheer weight of that packing expectation will shape reality.

And if not, I can always buy an extra set of toe-nail clippers in Chicago.

Here is the tour schedule, for anyone who missed it before. Know that I will be wearing something that is in that pictured suitcase. Know also that I’ll be at the Texas Book Festival and will have more details on October Texas dates very soon. And good golly. I hope you enjoy The Raven Boys if you pick it up these next few weeks.

When you say “One last time,” you don’t mean “last tour ever” do you?? Hopefully not…. Travel in whatever way you are traveling safely! :)

I spy Lush in your bag! I approve. The no Southern stops… not so much, but I know you don’t control that.

I finally convinced my parents to take me to the National Book Festival in DC! I can’t wait. I just wanted to ask if I could bring your books that I already own for you to sign and if I’m going to be able to buy Raven Boys at the event. Because I would really love to have you sign all of my books.
And I was wondering if you have a favorite animal or something I could draw for you, because I would love to give you something and animals are my specialty.

Yay, Erin! I’m happy to bring everything you bring from home so long as you buy a book from the event to support them (and yes, they’ll have Raven Boys!). I’d love to see your art, but it’s hard for me to carry things around on tour, so maybe you could bring your favorite for me to see instead?

I will definitely bring my favorites for you to see. I’m trying to narrow it down to two, so we will see how that goes. See you Saturday! I can’t wait!

I would like to put in for you to come to Changing Hands bookstore in Tempe, AZ! I am not affiliated with them other than being a loyal customer but it would be cool to meet you. I read the first chapter of Raven Boys online and have to say I absolutely love it. I can’t wait until Tuesday so I can rush to the store and buy my own copy. :-)

I so wish you were stopping in Cincinnati! I’m dying to meet you! I’ve been a lurker in your blog for years haha. You’re books are just so wonderful. Usually once I read a series by one author, I don’t like their other works as much, but I seriously love all of your stories!
I wish you had some sort of say in where you go, Chicago is the closest to me but that’s still a 5 hour drive :(
    oh well, maybe someday!

Hi Maggie, I’m hoping to come to one of the Cambridge events and I noticed the Facebook address wasn’t the one for the Coop. Also, to my knowledge there is no Barnes and Noble at the Facebook address (Google is failing to show me one, too). The Coop is run by Barnes and Noble, though. Maybe that’s what you meant? Since there’s really no easy way to check both locations without doing some impressive circling maneuvers, I was just wondering…

I really wish you were somewhere more Southeastern for this tour! (Or that you were in MA in December when I could be up there on my college break). One day I’m sure I’ll get the chance to meet you! It is on my bucket list :)

I’m so excited that you’re coming to Brampton, Ontario! I’m going to buy so many books there for you to sign, haha.
I was just wondering . . . could I ask you some questions about writing? I really love books and I want to be an author when I’m older and I look up to you greatly.
Also, we’re allowed to take pictures with you, right? haha
Love you, Maggie! I can’t wait to meet you on Tuesday!

Maggie – you are an amazing person. Wasn’t really sure where to post this but I really wanted to thank you for Your guitar giveaway. I am grateful to have won your beautiful guitar. All summer I was secretly longing for a new guitar, different from my classical. I so appreciate your artwork. It gives me great joy in general. I have started reading your book (my favorite genre) – love it!!

    Have an amazing wonderful tour.

    With gratitude,
    Pamela

I went to the Paramus one! Upset I didn’t win the sharpie guitar even though I had 5 tickets! :( LOL! (Bought the entire shiver trilogy and two raven boys)
I’m surprised that only THAT many people came though! Even though – like you said – it was the apocalypse outside!
