The Raven Boys Tour 2012

Guitar Raven Detail

I guess it must officially be getting close to fall because I can finally share my public tour events for The Raven Boys! I’ll be on tour/ away from home for a month, which is why I own 32 black tank tops and 16 pairs of identical jeans (American Eagle, in case you’re wondering). It’s also why folks at the end of the tour will get a slightly more slap-happy Maggie than folks at the beginning of the tour.

If you’re wondering what an event is like, here is a rough idea (though, sadly, this tour will lack Camaros and Tessas. The rest is applicable). (Also there are many slap happy videos from my tour last year on YouTube).

Like last year, I took a guitar and Sharpie’d all over it, and like last year, I’m going to be giving away this guitar to a reader at the launch event. Here it is (click to see it bigger):
The Sharpie Guitar for The Raven Boys

But in case you can’t make it to the launch event, I will be giving away things at the other events. Namely, the frames from The Raven Boys trailer, nicely matted. (You can get an idea of the other frames by watching the trailer).

RB kiss

And also some of the frames from The Scorpio Races trailer, which are weird and transparent, as you can see.

Anyway, I am very excited to be getting on the road again and seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. You can get more details and RSVP on the Facebook event link beneath each event. Come see me? Please?

Even though you’re not coming to South Carolina, you are going to my FAVORITE library in the whole world (mostly because it was my sanctuary growing up…I miss it): COOK MEMORIAL LIBRARY in my hometown of Libertyville, IL! Be sure to stop in Mickey Finn’s afterwords for a fabulous home brew and delicious ruben sandwich.

I went to San Fran during summer vacation and my family and I went there, its was like seeing Shiver come to life! The Redwoods are beautiful! Sooooooooooooo excited for Raven Boys! And I’d like to mention how funny the videos from your last tour were, I’ve watched every single one XD.
p.s. We have tons of bookstores here in Nashville *nudge nudge* AND lots of fans

ERMAGHAD, ERMAGAHD, ERMAGAHD, BRAMPTON! BRAMPTON! ITS IN BRAMPTON! LIKE HALF AN HOUR AWAY FROM ME! BRAMPTON! THATS BETTER THAN TORONTO! BRAMPTON!
This, is like an honor. No where else in Ontario. I’m ditching everything I have in my life that day to come. If there’s a math test the next day, I’m studying in the car. If I’m sick, well I better not be. CAUSE IM COMING. NOTHING CAN STOP ME!!!!!!!!
If this doesnt happen, I’ll like, cry. And Ill hold my books close to me and re-read Shiver for like the gazillionth time and keep crying at those parts where I always cry.
At least you’re signing the Raven Boys I pre-ordered :D That made my day then, and this made my day yesterday. WOO HOO for books.
Sorry for the ramble, I ramble when Im happy, and ecstatic, and nothing can ruin my happiness of getting to meet my role model/favourite author/awesomest person in the world.
    Yeah, I think I’m finished. :D

Seriously bumming… four plus hours to the closest event and it’s not even for The Raven Boys (not to detract from other awesomeness). Why no cities in the South? Still, that guitar is sweet and the book was even better!

Allow me to echo the moans for you to appear in SoCal or ANYWHERE in TX as I’m moving there in October. It seems strange to me that you’re booked for three locations within an hour or so of each other in NorCal but none near LA. And also Texas is a huge state! But alas, such is life. I’ll catch you on the next tour.

Maggie! Oh, Maggie! Would you consider holding a frame to send to a country where you are not touring yet? Like, oh, I don’t know… Australia?
I pre-ordered my signed and doodled copy of Raven Boys when it was barely a twinkle in your eye but I would also love the opportunity to beat out the competition and win a frame from the trailer.
I am so excited, by the way. It is hurting me to have to wait. Yes. There is pain involved!

My friend is studying in San Francisco this year. I might send him along to meet you and then kindly ask him to mail his newly purchased copy of The Raven Boys back home to the UK so I can “look after” it until he comes back in the summer. Have a great trip!
